Audix OM11 Dynamic Hypercardioid Microphone SKU# OM11
The Audix OM11 is a re-issue of the original OM1 handheld dynamic microphone that was first released in 1985. Optimized for reproduction of vocals and speech in live sound, studio sessions, and broadcast applications, the OM11 boasts low handling noise and a hypercardioid polar pattern, which is effective in minimizing residual ambience and feedback caused by nearby monitors and speakers. The dynamic element's low-mass diaphragm responds quickly to transients and handles sound pressure levels up to 140 dB.
It produces a frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 kHz with a wide presence boost for enhanced clarity and brightness. The gold-plated XLR 3-pin output ensures compatibility with most microphone preamps and mixer inputs, and the zinc alloy body with a dent-resistant steel mesh grille provides road-ready protection and durability. The OM11 was designed, assembled, and tested in the USA, and ships with a microphone clip and carrying pouch.
